As the ice storm changed to all rain by about 10 a.m. this morning, the icy coating on utility wires in Westport and other area communities is causing power outages.

About 132 customers of Connecticut Light & Power have lost electric services as of 10 a.m., according to the power company.

First Selectman Gordon Joseloff this morning also ordered a partial activation of the Westport Emergency Operations Center.

The storm has also caused a small fire in a CL&P substation in town.

The Westport Senior Center is open for the public to use as a warming center, and the Westport Library will be open at noon.
