Registration open for Earthplace pre-school program

Earthplace is accepting registrations for the 2013-14 school year for The Fives Program at Earthplace Nursery School, 10 Woodside Lane.

The program, begun in 2012, includes balanced literacy, math, science, cooking, gym, music and weekly animal visits with the naturalists in residence at Earthplace, according to a news release.

The students spend at least an hour each day outdoors either on the playground or on the nature trails.

The class day begins at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 1:30 p.m. with the option to stay until 3 or 4 p.m. for an extended-day program. The class size is limited to 11 children, the release states.
