The Conservative Synagogue Preschool will host its third annual Mom's Night Out Thursday, May 10, featuring a shopping boutique with more than 20 vendors, a buffet and a talk by the author of "Love, Loss and What I Wore."

The event is from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the synagogue, 30 Hillspoint Road. Tickets are $36 in advance or $40 at the door. Proceeds benefit the preschool.

In "Love, Loss and What I Wore," author Ilene Beckerman maintains that memories are tied to favorite clothes. She uses clothing, accessories and the memories they trigger to tell funny and poignant stories, the preschool said in a news release.

Beckerman's book was adapted for the stage by Nora and Delia Ephron, and the show now is on a national tour, according to the release.
