Police: Woman arrested after chasing husband with knife

A Big Pines Road woman was arrested last week after, police said, she chased her husband with a large kitchen knife.

Marilyn Pantchenko, 59, was charged with criminal attempt at second-degree assault, two counts of threatening in the second degree and disorderly conduct.

Police were dispatched to the Pantchenko residence around 3:44 p.m. Friday to check a report of a female chasing a male with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers found a man and woman in the driveway of the residence and a knife on the ground, according to the police report.

After detaining both parties, officers said they were able to determine that Marilyn Pantchenko had chased her husband out of the residence and a around a parked vehicle with a large kitchen knife, the report states.

She was held in lieu of $5,000 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Monday.
