WESTPORT — Back in July, a Trumbull woman stopped a car in traffic and began to pummel her passenger, police said.
Around 10 a.m. on July 12, Westport Police received a call from a concerned motorist who claimed to have seen a physical altercation in another car while driving on Post Road East. Based on the license plate provided to police by the eyewitness, police tracked down the car and its two passengers shortly thereafter.
Police said that neither the driver, 19-year-old Hannah Laflin, nor the unidentified passenger would discuss the alleged dispute with police. However, the eyewitness provided police a sworn statement in which she claimed that Laflin pulled over her car and started “pummeling” the passenger with punches.
On Oct. 4, Laflin turned herself in to Westport Police.
Laflin was charged with breach of peace. She was released on a promise to appear in court on Oct. 5.
