Bad checks investigated

Terrence McLoughlin, 45, of Bridgeport, was arrested on June 28 at 9:50 p.m. on a charge of issuing a bad check.

According to the report, McLoughlin was arrested in Bridgeport Superior Court where he was appearing on an unrelated charge. In May, McLoughlin allegedly issued a bad check for $240 to the UPS Store on Post Road East.

McLoughlin was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 6.

Maciej Raszczyk-Lawski, 29, of Fairfield, was arrested on June 30 at 4:12 p.m. on a charge of issuing a bad check and fourth-degree larceny.

According to the report, Raczcyk-Lawski was arrested at his home in Fairfield after a warrant for his arrest was issued. In June, allegedly Raczcyk-Lawski bought $1,954.58 in gold coins with checks from a closed account.

Raczcyk-Lawski's bail was set at $2,500 and he is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 10.

Man accused of giving alcohol to minors

Charles Brady, 20, of Edgemarth Hill was arrested on July 2 at 12:15 a.m. on a charge of providing alcohol to a minor.

Police officers arrived at a home on Edgemarth Hill on report of a loud party. Police saw several people under the age of 21, empty liquor bottles, cans of beer and plastic cups.

Brady was released on a promise to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 8.

Woman charged with DUI

Elyse Clark, 40, of Danbury was arrested on July 4 at 1 a.m. on charges of failure to drive right and driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to the report, police saw Clark make an illegal right turn off of Riverside Avenue and onto Treadwell Avenue. She was pulled over and the officer detected an odor of alcohol on her breath. She failed field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Clark's bail was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 14.

Woman faces disorderly conduct charges

Jessica Hwang, 37, of Post Road East, was arrested on July 4 at 10:28 p.m. on a charge of disorderly conduct.

According to the report, Hwang was involved in an argument in her husband that allegedly became violent.

Hwang's bail was set at $500 and she is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 6.

Failure to appear

Raymond Gracia, 21, of Danbury, was arrested on July 5 at 4 p.m. on a charge of second-degree failure to appear.

According to the report, Garcia was stopped on the Sherwood Island Connector for not displaying a front license plate. The officer ran his name through the police system and saw that he was wanted for failing to appear in Danbury Superior Court on charges of possession of marijuana and criminal trespass.

Garcia's bail was set at $1000 and he appeared in Danbury Superior Court on July 5.

Police say man

violated probation

Timothy Fasano, 45, of Coleytown Road, was arrested on July 5 at 11 a.m. on two counts of violation of probation.

According to the report, Fasano was arrested at his home for unspecified violations of his probation.

He is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on July 15.

Kayaks stolen

A pair of kayaks valued at $1,000 each were reported stolen from Compo Beach.

According to the report, the victim discovered that the kayaks were missing on July 3 and he last saw them on June 26. One was a yellow single Wilderness Kayak, while the other was an orange double Wildnerness kayak. Neither had been locked up, and both had dry dock stickers and numbers on them. There are no suspects yet.
