Nonprofit performing arts producer JIB Productions' 2013 Play With Your Food series will present readings from three plays Tuesday, Feb. 5, through Thursday, Feb. 7, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Toquet Hall Teen Center, 58 Post Road East, Westport.
"Barbra's Wedding" is about an out-of-work television actor and his wife as they examine their own marriage in the midst of a wedding involving their famous neighbor, Barbra Streisand, who has not invited them to her Malibu nuptials. Stern has appeared in the movies "Home Alone" and "City Slicker."
Clark Gookin, a Colorado native from New York City whose work includes "Friendly Fire" at Playwrights Horizons, will play Jerry, the out-of-work actor. His wife will be played by Bethany Caputo, also from New York City.
Nadine Willig, of Stratford, will appear in "Today A Little Extra," which ponders how to hold on to the past when times are changing.
Now in its 11th season, "Play With Your Food" is a theater program that includes a buffet lunch and dessert, short-play readings by professional actors and a post-show discussion. Upcoming performances will be in March and April.
Tickets, $43 per show, may be purchased at www.jibproductions.org or by calling the box office at 203-293-8831 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
