Performance to fund school trip to Hartford

The Unitarian Church in Westport's Voices Cafe will host a performance on Saturday, March 9, by folk-rock sister duo Nerissa and Katryna Nields to fund a school trip to Hartford.

The show will be at 8 p.m. at the church, 10 Lyons Plains Road.

The sisters have produced 15 CDs, three books, a DVD and a children's music educational business during a music career that spans 20 years, according to a news release.

Their latest CD, "Full Catastrophe," contains humorous songs about how a woman can balance an artistic career with raising children.

The event's proceeds will go toward sending a ninth-grade Bridgeport social studies class to meet lawmakers in the state capitol's Legislative Office Building.
