Organization to help families with preemies sets Westport event

The Tiny Miracles Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families with premature infants, is hosting a local discussion on caring for babies born early.

Speakers will be Kasey Mathews, author of "Preemie: Lessons in Love, Life and Motherhood," and Jennifer Degl, author of "From Home to Joy: A Memoir of a Mother's Determination and Her Micro-Preemie's Struggle to Beat the Odds," on Thursday, March 6, at the West port Arts Center.

The event will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the arts center, 51 Riverside Ave. A light buffet, wine, beer and cold beverages will be served. The authors will speak at 7:45 p.m.

The evening program is being presented by the Tiny Miracles Foundation as part of its parent support and discussion programs, and it is a fundraiser.
