Norwalk woman allegedly assaulted hospital employee

WESTPORT — A Norwalk woman was arrested for allegedly scratching a hospital employee on the face and arms during an argument in September.
Police said Tanya Lewis argued with and scratched an employee at St. Vincent’s Medical Center Behavioral Health Services Westport on Long Lots Road on Sept. 6. During the argument, she also allegedly damaged the employee’s glasses. Lewis is not employed at the facility.
Westport police issued a warrant for her arrest, and the 32-year-old resident of Hyatt Avenue in Norwalk turned herself in on Oct. 4. She was charged with two counts of assaulting emergency medical personnel and one count of third-degree criminal mischief. The assault charge is a class C felony.
