WESTPORT — A Norwalk man allegedly crashed his car into a stone wall while drunk around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Police said the driver, John Goodchild, was not injured, but failed a field sobriety test. When administed a breathalyzer test at the station, his blood alcohol content was measured as .21.

The stone wall at the site of the crash — near 104 Kings Highway North — was damaged.

The 44-year-old resident of County Street in Norwalk was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and issued a driving violation. Goodchild’s bail was set at $500, and he is to appear in court on Aug. 30.
