“Nine,” the Tony Award-winning musical, will be performed by the Westport Community Theatre this month.

Performances, at the troupe’s Town Hall stage, will take place weekends June 5 through June 28. Shows are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 2 p.m. Sundays.

There also will be a Thursday performance at 8 p.m. June 11, and a Saturday matinee at 2 p.m. June 27.

“Nine,” based on the book by Arthur Kopit, will be directed for the Westport Community Theatre by Mark Graham; producers are Sam Mink, Robert Watts and Donna McLaughlin Wyant, and it is choreographed by Carol Schweid.

The show won a Tony Award in 1982 for best musical and in 2003 won another Tony for best revival of a musical. Based on the Federico Fellini film, “8 1/2,” the musical tells the story of a film director as he attempts to come up with the plot for his next film, while being pursued by women vying for his affection.

His life becomes the basis for his next endeavor, a musical version of the Casanova story, revealed through flashbacks.

The cast includes Beth Bria, Josie Bielmeier, Mia Cenholt-Haulund, Ainsley Dahlstrom, Lisa Dahlstrom, Nicholas Ferreira, Stephanie Ficarra, Karen Hanley, Sarah Hernandez, Robie Livingstone, Jodi Maxner, Lucia Palmieri, Bennett Pologe, Janice Rudolph, Betsey Simpson and Donna McLaughlin Wyant.

Tickets are $28, $26 for seniors and students, and can be purchased at www.westportcommunitytheatre.com or by calling 203-226-1983.
