Randel & Molloy, LLC, a law firm specializing in real estate and business transactions, has opened in Westport.

Jim Randel of Westport and Kelly Molloy of Ridgefield are the principals in firm with an office at 265 Post Road West.

Randel is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Law. In addition to his legal career, Randel has been involved as a principal with commercial real estate transactions and start-up businesses, according to an announcement from the law firm. He is also the author of “Confessions of a Real Estate Entrepreneur,” and has lectured on real estate investment around the country.

Molloy is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she served in the U.S. Army for nine years as an aviation officer and was the first woman to fly the OH-58D helicopter, according to the law firm. She rose to the rank of captain before resigning her commission to go to law school. She has practiced with firms in New York City and Stamford and recently established her own firm before joining with Randel.
