A New York man was charged with shoplifting at Whole Foods Market last Saturday afternoon.

Steven Draper, 24, of Osborne Place, Rye Brook, N.Y. was charged with sixth-degree larceny.

Officers dispatched to the market around 3:45 p.m. were taken to the store's security office, where Draper was being detained.

Draper was accused of leaving the store with merchandise concealed in a bag, according to a police report.

Officers reviewed video footage, as well as statements from store employees, prior to charging Draper, the report said.

He was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Monday at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
