The Westport Library announces two new services which allow Westport Library cardholders free access to thousands of popular movies, TV shows, videos and albums. The titles, from major Hollywood studios, record companies and publishers, are available for instant streaming or temporary downloading to smart phones, tablets and computers.

The service Hoopla offers full-length streaming content with no waiting. Patrons can borrow movies, videos and TV shows for three days; albums for seven days and audiobooks for 21 days. Up to six titles can be checked out per month and automatic returns eliminate late fees.

Award-winning independent films, shorts and documentaries are also available from the service IndieFlix. The service offers films from more than 2,000 film festivals around the world including Sundance, Cannes, Tribeca and SXSW. These films are accessed through online streaming -- no downloading or waiting in a queue.

To borrow items from either service, go to the westportlibrary.org homepage tab "Download movies & TV." For help, contact the Library Reference Desk at 203-291-4840 or attend free Tech Help sessions Tuesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Fridays from 3 to 5 p.m. on the library's main level.
