NEW MILFORD ___ A 26-year-old Long Mountain Road woman was charged with driving while under the influence Sunday after police observed her driving erratically on Route 7 without her car's tail lights on, police said.

Jennifer Peterson was additionally charged with failure to have tail lamps, interfering with a police officer, and operating a vehicle while her license is suspended.

After she was stopped, police said Peterson gave a false name and date of birth, and failed field sobriety tests. An investigation determined her true identity and that she was using a suspended license.
