Two holiday music programs are planned in December as part of the Music & Arts series at Christ & Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
Both will be performed in the church at 75 Church Lane.
The Sonos Handbell Ensemble will perform at 4 p.m. Dec. 6. The group, based in Berkeley, Calif., is directed by James Meredith.
The handbell ringers will be joined by soprano Emily Workman and baritone Matthew Vitti, professional singers in Christ & Holy Trinity’s adult choir, for several carols.
Preferred seating for the concert is $45, general seating is $35 for adults and $15 for children under 18. To order tickets online visit www.chtwestport.org/tickets or call 203-227-0827.
On Dec. 13, the 13th annual Music & Arts festival of Christmas Lessons & Carols will take place.
The 5 p.m. candlelight program of holiday classics will be performed by the Christ & Holy Trinity Choir, along with traditional readings and joined by the congregation for Christmas carols. The service will be led by the Rev. Whitney Edwards, rector of the parish.
A yuletide reception, with Christmas cookies, mince pies and sausage rolls, will follow immediately in the Great Hall.
There is no admission fee for the Christmas Lessons & Carols program, but church officials say that because of the high demand for limited seating, those planning to attend should plan to come early. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.
