Westport-based Music for Youth will present the Calefax Quintet from Amsterdam at its next Free Young Persons' Concert set for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave., in the Southport section of Fairfield.

Calefax is a reed quintet of Dutchmen Oliver Boekhoorn, oboe; Ivar Berix, clarinet; Raaf Hekkema, saxophone; Jelte Altius bass clarinet, and Alban Wesly, bassoon.

In its 25th season, Calefax has played more than 600 concerts in 20 nations, according to a news release from Music for Youth. The group arranges and interprets music from eight centuries, from early music, Renaissance, baroque and romantic works to jazz and world premieres.

The performance, recommended for ages 5 to 17, will be followed by free master classes in oboe, clarinet, saxophone and bassoon.
