Motor vehicle stop leads to drug charges

A Westport man faces drug charges following a motor vehicle stop last week.
Maxim Schiavone, 23, of Overlook Road, was charged last Wednesday with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance/less than four ounces of marijuana.
Schiavone was pulled over for a motor vehicle violation when the officer observed drug paraphernalia in plain view in the vehicle, according to the police report.
The officer found a bag of marijuana and a small amount of LSD, police said.
Schiavone posted a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear April 6 in Norwalk Superior Court.
