Chastity Johnson, 23, of Bridgeport, was issued a series of motor vehicle violations and a marijuana infraction after she was stopped Friday for having no registration plate on her car, police said.
When she was stopped, an officer said he detected the odor of burnt marijuana in the vehicle, according to the report. Johnson produced a small sandwich bag from her purse containing a green leafy substance that was marijuana, police said.
She was issued a misdemeanor summons with a promise to appear Oct. 1 in Norwalk Superior Court for several motor vehicle violations, including failure to display license plates, misuse of plates and operating an unregistered vehicle. She also was issued an infraction for marijuana possession.
