More repairs to close Bridge Street bridge Wednesday

Drivers in the Saugatuck section of town are warned to expect more detours at the Bridge Street bridge on Wednesday because of continuing repair work to the span.

The swing bridge is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to a release from Town Hall.

Cianbro Construction Co. is making repairs to the mechanical and electrical components of the bridge, damaged in last year's Superstorm Sandy.

Work is expected to be completed next month, officials say.

There will be detour signs posted during the closing.
