WESTPORT — A Milford contractor is facing additional accusations of charging for home repairs that he allegedly never provided.
Jeffrey Chirillo, 36, is accused of charging a town resident $1,365 in October as a deposit for work on his North Avenue home, according to police. Police said the man reported in February that he had paid the deposit, no work was done and Chirillo, of Chirillo Contracting, did not repay the deposit despite being given time to do so.
Previously, Westport Police arrested Chirillo in late February for allegedly charging a Westport homeowner $32,579 for remodeling work starting in October that he never began. The resident of Meadows End Road in Milford was again arrested March 26 by Westport officers because police said he stole items from a Woodway Lane home where he was hired to work.
For the most recent arrest, Chirillo was charged with second-degree larceny and offering home improvement without registration. The charges were leveled against him April 12 while appearing in Norwalk Court for another case. His court date for the new charges is April 25.
