Call them Grinches, but officials of Metro-North Railroad are reminding passengers that all alcoholic beverages are banned Saturday through Sunday morning from trains and stations to "maintain orderly travel during this weekend's SantaCon" in New York City.

The day-long alcohol ban is in effect from 9 a.m. Saturday through 9 a.m. Sunday, according to the Metro- North warning.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority police officers will be on duty at Grand Central Terminal and at train stations along the New Haven Line, as well as onboard trains, to enforce the ban.
