Men charged with stealing baby formula

Two Bridgeport men were charged Tuesday with shoplifting more than $300 worth of baby formula from the CVS pharmacy on Post Road East.
Gregory White, 33, and Anthony White, 29, both of Dayton Road in Bridgeport, were apprehended by Westport police in the parking lot of Super Stop & Shop after the theft was reported a short time earlier by CVS employees. Officers said they saw the baby formula in plain view in the men's car, and took them into custody.
Police said that 13 cans of baby formula, valued at $342, was stolen from the pharmacy.
Gregory White was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and his bond for those charges was set at $5,000. He also was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to have motor vehicle insurance and misuse of license plates.
Anthony White was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, and his bond was set at $5,000.
Both men were released after posting bond, and are scheduled to appear on the charges Dec. 23 in Norwalk Superior Court.
