Two men have been charged with a series of thefts from motor vehicles in Westport during June.
Nelson Rivera, 24, of Trumbull, and Livelle Sampson, 21, of Bridgeport, face burglary and larceny charges in connection with the incidents, police said. Rivera was charged for his role in the thefts Sept. 13 while at Norwalk Superior Court and Sampson was arrested Sept. 7 in court.
Several overnight break-ins and thefts from vehicles were first reported to police June 5 and again on June 7. Westport police detectives, working in conjunction with other area police departments, developed evident linking Rivera and Sampson to the crimes, according to the report.
Both men were charged with 10 counts of third-degree burglary, as well as felony and misdemeanor counts of larceny. Bond for each was set at $150,000.
