  • MAILMAN'S BEST FRIEND
With the U.S. Postal Service truck in sight, a pair of friendly Labradoodles on Sprucewood Drive last Friday eagerly awaited the arrival of the neighborhood letter carrier, who usually has treats for them. Ellie, left, a six-month-old mini Labroadoodle, and her pal Mickey, a 3 1/2 -year-old medium Labrodoodle, are equally delighted to see the UPS delivery man, according to Joan Korenchuck, who works on the street. Labradoodles are crossbred by crossing a Labrador retriever with a standard, medium or miniature poodle, and they are characteristically friendly and outgoing. When it comes to the neighborhood mailman, Ellie and Mickey are doggone friendly.

The pair of Labrodoodles -- Labrador retriever/poodle crossbreeds -- eagerly await the U.S. Postal Service letter carrier each day on Sprucewood Drive because he usually has treats for them, according to Joan Korenchuck, who works on the street.

Ellie, a 3-month-old mini Labradoodle, and Mickey, a 3 1/2-year-old medium Labradoodle, also eagerly welcome the UPS delivery man, Korenchuck said.
