A Norwalk man is facing charges stemming from a theft at the local Goodwill Store in January.
Rony Gonzales, 33, of Fern Street, Norwalk, was charged with sixth-degree larceny for removing $500 in cash from the pocket of a coat another patron had set down at the store, police said.
Surveillance video footage showed that Gonzales picked up the coat with the money, police said, and tried to put his hands in the pocket that contained the cash.
Gonzales came to police headquarters March 20 to turn himself in on an active arrest warrant. Bond was set at $500 and he is scheduled to appear March 31 in Norwalk Superior Court.
