A Fairfield man was arrested last Wednesday night on drug charges related to a motor vehicle stop last month.

Tyler Scheinberg, 23, of Flax Road in Fairfield, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of controlled substance and possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.

Westport police officers went to the Fairfield Police Department about 10:40 p.m. Wednesday and "took custody" of Scheinberg for an outstanding warrant held by Westport police.

His arrest stems from a motor vehicle stop April 9 where a prescription pill, marijuana and a heroin fold were found in his vehicle, according to the report.

Scheinberg wasn't able to post his $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear May 11 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
