A Norwalk man is facing drug charges following a motor vehicle stop last week.
Sean Lewis, 26, of School Street in Norwalk, was charged June 9 with narcotics possession and possession of a controlled substance: narcotics.
After being stopped for what police called an equipment violation, the officer asked for consent to search the vehicle Lewis was driving.
During the search — with the aide of police dog, Chase — eight prescription pills were found outside a prescription container, according to the police report. The pills were identified as acetaminophen oxycodone hydrochloride, which is a schedule two drug available only by prescription.
Bond was set at $500 and Lewis is scheduled to appear June 19 in Norwalk Superior Court.
