A local man faces charges following a physical confrontation with his live-in girlfriend, according to police.

Michael Wall, 46, of Kings Highway North was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation in the Sunday morning incident.

Wall was arrested after neighbors called police to report hearing a female screaming for help, according to police.

Officers arrested Wall after it was determined that a physical confrontation had taken place between him and his girlfriend, according to the report.

Wall was released after posting bond and was scheduled to appear Nov. 25 in Norwalk Superior Court.
