A Westport man faces charges for removing copper down spouts from a local residence.

Gregory Gabrielle, 43, of Jesup Road, was charged Sunday night with two counts of third-degree larceny (theft from a building) and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

Gabrielle was arrested on an outstanding warrant around 10:40 p.m. Sunday in connection with a January incident in which he was seen by video surveillance removing copper down spouts from a local house, according to police.

Bond was set at $25,000 and he is scheduled to appear May 12 in Norwalk Superior Court.
