Man charged with stealing homeowner's chainsaw

A Stamford man has been charged with larceny after he stole a chainsaw from a Westport homeowner, according to police.
Jose Palacios, 34, of Shippan Avenue, Stamford, turned himself in to police las Wednesday morning and was charged with sixth-degree larceny in connection with the September incident..
Police said Palacios stole the chainsaw from a homeowner who had hired him to work at his residence.
Palacios posted a $500 cash bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 9 in Norwalk Superior Court.
