Michael Urbanowicz of Post Road East was charged with stealing the credit card that a CVS customer had momentarily left on a counter last Friday.
Urbanowicz, 50, was charged after police said he was seen taking the other customer's card on a recording by the store's surveillance-monitoring equipment.
He still had the card in his possession when he was later confronted by police at his residence, according to the report.
Urbanowicz was charged with credit card theft and sixth-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear Aug. 8 in Norwalk Superior Court.
