Man charged with stealing coins from Saugatuck Avenue home

A man has been charged with burglarizing a Saugatuck Avenue home last month.
Jose Alicea, 48, of Bridgeport was charged on a warrant last week at his home,
The burglary took place June 24, police said, and after detectives investigated the incident, Alicea was linked to the crime, according to the report.
Stolen from the residence was silver coins and change, police said, and detectives were able to recover some of the stolen coins.
Alicea was charged with third-degree burglary and sixth-degree larceny. Bond was set at $10,00 and he was scheduled to appear June 23 at state Superior Court in Norwalk.
