A Westport man was charged Tuesday with possession of cocaine in connection with a July incident.
Cody Ropiak. 22, of Riverside Avenue, was arrested at Norwalk Superior Court on an outstanding warrant while he was appearing on unrelated charges, police said.
The warrant was issued after police said Ropiak was found unresponsive last July and had a white powder in his possession that later was determined to be cocaine, according to the report.
Ropiak was not arrested at the time because of the immediate need for medical treatment.
He was arraigned on the charges Tuesday and held in lieu of bond for multiple pending cases, police said.
