A Fairfield man is facing charges after being stopped for driving on the wrong side of the road last week, according to police.
Joshua Bergman, 35, of Rena Place, was charged with operating under the influence of intoxicating liquor, drugs or both, speeding and failure to drive right.
An officer doing motor vehicle enforcement on Nov. 20 on Riverside Avenue saw a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road and speeding, police said.
"Upon stopping the vehicle officers detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage, police said. Bergman, the motor vehicle operator, was given and failed a roadside sobriety tests, according to police.
He was released after posting a $500 cash bond and was scheduled to appear Nov. 27 in Norwalk Superior Court.
