The southwestern Connecticut franchise of Ladies Who Launch will host Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, co-hosts of MSNBC's "Morning Joe," from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at J. McLaughlin's, 1026 Post Road East.

Brzezinski talk about her new book, "Knowing Your Value -- Women, Money and Getting What You're Worth." The book takes a look at the role of women in the workplace and the fight to gain recognition and a fair salary.

Scarborough and Brzezinski will also talk about their experiences as a TV news team, followed by a question-and-answer session.

Scarborough, a former Florida congressman, in April was named to the "Time 100" list of the world's most influential people.

Brzezinski also wrote a memoir, "All Things At Once," and "Knowing Your Value," a book published in May 2011 which examines the role of women in the workplace. A native of New York City, Brzezinski is the daughter of Foreign Policy Expert and Former National Security Advisor Zbigniew Brzezinski.

J. McLaughlin will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to the Women's Campaign School at Yale University.
