A new pastry business, With Love From the Cupboard, has opened in Westport. Chef Nicole Juliano Peranick will be offering what she calls "grandma-inspired baked goods," on a retail and wholesale basis from her kitchen at 971 Post Road East. Her petite pastries provide a modern twist on classic flavors, and are made with quality local Connecticut ingredients. Her signature collection includes gluten-free spumoni, French macaroons, raspberry pecan tea cakes, crème brûlee profiteroles and lavender honey vanilla bean cupcakes.
The shop also creates custom sweets based on individual tastes, and offers a "Recreate-A-Recipe" service that allows clients to submit a family recipe that can be updated, modified or simplified.
With Love From The Cupboard is not a traditional bakery, but focuses more on specialty events for customers, such as weddings, dinner parties, children's parties and corporate events. Customers should call for information, to order, or to make an appointment to plan for an event. Juliano Peranick's pastries are also sold in New Canaan at Walter Stewart's Market and at BonJo in Stamford.
