A live broadcast of Giuseppe Verdi's "Aida" will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at Fairfield University's Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, 1073 N. Benson Road, Fairfield. The showing, held through "The Met: Live in HD" program, will take place at 1 p.m., followed by a recorded broadcast at 6:30 p.m.

Fabio Luisi conducts, according to a release.

The program is a series of high-definition transmissions of the opera's new season from Lincoln Center's Metropolitan Opera House in New York City via cameras placed around the stage.
