Little River Band meet Saugatuck River.
The rock band, whose album and CD sales top 30 million worldwide, will rock out Friday at the riverside Levitt Pavilion for the Performing Arts.
The concert is one of the Levitt’s few ticketed events of the season. The pavilion lawn opens at 6:30 p.m., with the show scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Proceeds help underwrite the Levitt’s season of more than 50 free entertainment shows through the summer at its venue on the banks of the Saugatuck River.
Little River Band, formed in Australia in the mid-1970s, is noted for classic rock hits such as “Lady,” “It’s a Long Way There,” “Reminiscing,” “Cool Change,” “Lonesome Loser” and “Take It Easy On Me.”
The band was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association Hall of Fame in 2004.
Tickers for the Little River Band concert at the Levitt Pavilion cost $45 ($40 students/seniors) for the concert, or $125 for a pre-concert cocktail party with a chair provided at the front of the lawn for the performance.
To charge tickets, visit the Levitt Pavilion’s website, www.levittpavilion.com, or call Ovationtix/Theatermania at 866-811-4111. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door.
