Warm thanks to those who made our Westport Historical Society's 26th annual Holiday House Tour and Twilight Soiree a financial success. On Sunday, Dec. 2, nearly 500 toured five very different, very festive homes, plus Adams Academy. Another 125 finished the day at Twilight Soiree, tasting Fountainhead wines, munching scrumptious hors d'oeuvres and bidding at silent auction.
First, abundant gratitude to the homeowners/artists who graciously opened their homes -- and unique to this year's tour and soiree -- art collections and studios: Elise Black and Barry Himmel, Ed Gerber, Jeanine Esposito and Frederic Chiu, Roe and Chuck Halper, Beverly and Bob Ellsley and Rebecca Ellsley, and the Ross Family. Designers and stylists include Beverly Ellsley, Terrain, Geiger's, ArtisticDesignSolution.com, Charles/The Flower Basket, Izzo's and Susan Wynkoop.
Tour house captains greeted and guided visitors -- Joan Beer, Ed Gerber, Mindy Wolkstein, Deborah Kulback, Dorothy Packer and Mary Wells Vickery and about 80 docent volunteers, including teams from Weichert Realtors and The Westport Woman's Club.
Thanks to annual Sponsors: BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Weichert Realtors, Berchem Moses & Devlin, Betty R. & Ralph Sheffer Foundation and the Janet & Fred Plotkin/Adolph and Ruth Schnurmacher Foundation and to Event Sponsors: Resnick Investment Advisors, U.S. Trust, Brown's Monument Works, Cohen & Wolf, Fountainhead Wines, CtC&G, Architect Howard Lathrop, Venture Photography, Harding Funeral Home, Attorney George P. Judd, Miriam Luck and Dee Cohen-Coldwell Banker and Atlantic Residential Mortgage.
