On behalf of the Friends of the Westport Center for Senior Activities, I would like to thank Staples High School student Stephen Colodny and Dana Johnson and John Weiss from the center's Policy & Planning Board for coordinating and facilitating the 12th annual Friendship through Fitness Golf Tournament hosted by Longshore Golf Club. All proceeds collected will be used to maintain the equipment in the center's ever-popular fitness room.

The following individuals and merchants are to be thanked for their generous donations and contributions: Mitchells, Splash Restaurant, Rizzuto's Restaurant & Bar, ExxonMobil, Taratino's, Redi-Cut Carpet & Rugs, Positano's Italian Cuisine, Rainbow Thai, Tutti's Restaurant, Colonial Druggists, Izzo & Son Country Gardens, Carvel, Sherwood Diner, Fortuna's Deli, Fairfield County Savings Bank, Roly Poly of Saugatuck, Bob and Harry from Viva Zapata's, Tony Lavista and Harold Scutt, Jr.

Also, a big thank you to John Cooper form Longshore Golf Course (golf carts); Stuart McCarthy of Westport Parks & Recreation Department; Tom Owens, Staples High School boy's golf coach; Bob Byiteck, Staples High School girl's golf Coach and Patty Kondub, assistant girl's coach.

New friendships were made, and everyone enjoyed themselves. We're already looking forward to next year's tournament!
