After years of Saturday morning demonstrations in protest against the Iraq war and, lately, in fervent appeal for the return of our troops from Afghanistan, I reluctantly bow to discouragement and old age. I'm done.
President Obama, pay attention! I'm counting on you. I have to believe that, if it can possibly be managed, you will bring our troops home sooner than scheduled. While you are working on this, here in Westport one stalwart peace dreamer still stands vigil. She reminds us that America is still at war.
