When you have a problem 300 feet under the polar ice cap in a nuclear attack submarine tracking a Soviet boomer, you have to communicate clearly, quickly and truthfully or people die. You can't spin the truth or gloss over unpleasant facts. You can't worry whether the truth reveals a previous mistake or makes you look bad; you need to solve the problem.

Most of us have never been under the polar ice cap, but Steve Obsitnik has. We need Steve as our Representative in Congress because we have real problems that need real solutions, and all of those solutions start with recognizing and telling the truth. While Steve was learning to be a leader at Annapolis and in the Navy and internalizing concepts like duty, honor and country, Jim Himes was learning to be a salesman on Wall Street. We need leaders in Washington, not salesmen.

As the CEO of a small startup business, Steve knows what it takes to create jobs because he is doing it. He knows that every person tied up complying with needless regulation is a person not building products, solving customers' problems or creating new technologies. Just as the United States has been a technological innovator, Steve knows we must be a regulatory innovator as well, and that the regulatory answer can't always just be "more;" it has to be "better," and it has to grow opportunity, not stifle it.

Vote for Steve Obsitnik for Congress.
