I would like to take a moment to discuss the relationship I have been able to develop with Avi Kaner. I work in New York University's Office of Community Affairs, and in this capacity I regularly interact with local residents and business owners.

Avi Kaner and Morton Williams Supermarkets have been NYU supporters for many years and have been an integral part of the local Greenwich Village community for as long as I can remember.

Avi has always said "yes" to every request made by me in the Office of Community Affairs, small and large. Just last week, he once again agreed to sponsor NYU's 23rd Annual Children's Halloween Parade, the city's largest free children's event on Halloween. He also routinely offers support to many student organizations seeking assistance for events.

Westport is lucky is to have someone as generous and compassionate as Avi Kaner running for second selectman.
