Connecticut is in deep fiscal trouble due to the misguided policies and actions of our governor and the Democrat majority legislature. We need legislators in Hartford who actually understand the private sector, how to grow jobs, expand the economy and keep our state competitive. Gail Lavielle is such a leader and we need to return her to Hartford from the 143rd District so she can provide some "business sense" which is so sorely lacking in our Capitol.

Gail has an amazing business background. Gail has an MBA and has taught business courses at the University of Connecticut. She has vast business experience having worked for more than 25 years in finance, marketing, and communication with Fortune 500 corporations. As chief executive of a subsidiary of the Interpublic Group, she turned a company around, managed it through a severe recession and doubled revenues while running it for five years at a substantial profit. She also served as senior vice president of Suez Environment, the world's largest water and wastewater services company, managing people in more than 30 countries.

I think Gail has the type of business background we need more of in Hartford if we are going to turn our state around. Business leaders agree as she has been endorsed in the past by the National Federation of Independent Businesses and the Connecticut Business and Industry Association. The CBIA gave her a "perfect score" for votes affecting business and the economy. I hope you agree we need to re-elect Gail Lavielle on Nov. 6 and send someone to Hartford who understands business basics and what we need to do to turn our State around.
