Westport-based Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities will hold its annual benefit gala on Friday evening, April 26, at the Hyatt Regency in Greenwich.
The fundraiser is planned at 7 p.m. and will include a cocktail reception, dinner, music by The Auburndale Ensemble, and both live and silent auctions.
Proceeds benefit the nonprofit Smart Kids, which provides information and support to parents of children with a range of learning disabilities. Tickets are $200 and available by visiting www.smartkidswithld.org or calling 203-226-6831.
The auction will be conducted by a professional auctioneer, B.J. Jennings of 1st Class Benefits. Items include a seven-night Caribbean vacation at the St. James's Club on Antigua; a visit to the set of NBC's Rock Center and lunch with Snow at the NBC commissary; and lunch or dinner for a family with actor-producer and Smart Kids honorary chairman Henry Winkler in New York or Los Angeles.
Other auction items include two cases of Dom Perignon champagne; a sunset cruise with champagne and hors d'oeuvres; weekend getaways to New York City, Vermont and Boston; and tickets to the Metropolitan Opera and "The Late Show with David Letterman."
During the evening, Smarts Kids will honor John J. Russell, head of school at The Windward School in White Plains, N.Y.; Beth Feldman, director of the Laurence W. Levine Foundation; and four 2013 Fred J. Epstein Youth Achievement Award winners from Utah, Virginia, New York and Connecticut.
