Perfect weather and a competitive field combined for another successful conclusion to the Westport Road Runners Series summer season.

Ridgefield resident James Osborn won the 10-mile race around town for the second straight year, clocking in at a time of 57:54. He finished about a minute ahead of Westport’s Luke McCambley, who finished second in 59:00.

“It was another good summer” Osborn said. “The races are awesome and more importantly it gets the community together. and gets everyone ready for the fall marathon season.”

McCambley won the 5.85 mile race earlier this summer, and lowered his time from last year’s 10-mile race by more than four minutes.

“I felt great, couldn’t have asked for better weather or competition,” McCambley said. “The course was difficult but it’s a good work and a good way to start a weekend.”

Mary Zengo was the first woman to cross the finish line, sixth in 1:03.25. Her time broke the course record set back in 1986 by Kathleen Horton, of Weston.

Westporters Tom Harding (seventh) and Paul Greenberg (10th) also placed in the top 10.
