'L.A. Law' actor to discuss novel

Westport Public Library will host a talk by actor and author Michael Tucker, best known for his role in the television series "L.A. Law," on his first novel "After Annie" on Thursday, Oct. 11. It will be held at 7:30 p..m. in the library's McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

The book is about Herbie, a middle-aged actor struggling to find his way after loosing his friend and lover, Annie, to cancer, according to a release.

Tucker was born in Baltimore and is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, where he met American TV writer and producer Steven Bochco, the creator of "L.A. Law." In the show, Tucker co-starred with his wife Jill Eikenberry.

Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event, which is free.
