The Westport police K-9, Koda, helped officers discover a stash of narcotics in the car of a man stopped for a traffic violation last week, police said.

Felix Bayonne, 28, of Norwalk was stopped by police last Saturday night and, during a subsequent search of his vehicle -- assisted by the police dog -- officers said cocaine was discovered.

Bayonne was charged with possession of narcotics, as well as infractions for lacking a front license plate for the car and failure to renew his license.

He is scheduled to appear April 11 in Norwalk Superior Court.
